Centuries of prestige.
The building that houses the Hotel Dei Dogi is the 18th-century Palazzo Rizzo
Patarol, one of the earliest and best examples of Ca' Veneziana, the residential architecture of the Venetian nobility.
The
Madonna dell'Orto quarter where the palace is located was, at the time
of construction, the only part of Venice that was planted with crops.
This explains why the Hotel Dei Dogi boasts such an extensive garden,
the only one of its kind in the city. In more recent times, the building was the seat of the French and Savoyan embassies. A prestigious history that still resonates in the sumptuousness of every space
and every detail of its décor.
